Wellington's Most Creative Classroom Challenge: Terms & Conditions
Acceptance of these terms and conditions: Wellington's Most Creative Classroom competition (the “Competition”) is run by Weta Workshop Limited (“Weta Workshop”). If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you may not enter this challenge and you are not eligible to redeem the Prize. Weta Workshop reserves the right to vary, suspend or terminate the Giveaway at any time, without notice to you.
Eligibility: Competition is open to classrooms, school groups, homes schools and education centres (‘classroom’) located within the Greater Wellington Region. Where your students are aged between 5-18 years old at the time of your entry. Multiple entries per school are welcome.
How to register: You must first register your interest by simply filling in the form with your school’s name & classroom name, your full name, postal address, email address and contact number at tours.wetaworkshop.com/wellingtons-most-creative-classroom
How to enter: Your ‘classroom’ must construct and film their very own ‘Marble Run’. Once captured you will then need to upload this video to our entry form at bit.ly/creative-classroomby 11:59pm on 31st July 2020.
Winning entry and winner notification: Weta Workshop will select the winner and runner-up on Monday 10th August 2020 and notify them by email and/or phone by 5:00pm 11th August 2020. Weta Workshop reserves the right to identify another winner if the initial winner or runner-up does not respond within 48 hours. Weta Workshop’s decision regarding the winner is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Publicity: Entrants agree, and have authority to agree on behalf of the participants, that their name, classroom name, school name, video/photos of their Marble Run and description of their prize may be published on Weta Workshop’s social media accounts, within email marketing, on our websites or utilised for media releases and publicity.
Prize: Weta Workshop will provide the winner with the Ultimate Creative Classroom Experience (the “Prize”). The Prize will include:
For the school:
- A visit from Richard Taylor and Tania Rodger, the creative duo who co-founded and built Weta Workshop. Maximum numbers apply. Details to be discussed with the winning class and school.
- Watch your principal or teacher be transformed into a character through special-effects make-up and prosthetics.
For the winning classroom:
The ultimate class trip (up to 30 guests) to Weta Workshop where you can dive into a world of creativity and film effects magic. Including
1. Crowned “Wellington’s Most Creative Classroom”
2. Return transport from your school
3. Hands-on workshop with our crew
4. Private guided tour
5. Entrance into the Weta Workshop conference room where our Oscars and awards are kept.
6. A special gift for the classroom
Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Weta Workshop shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever suffered by any entrant or Prize winner (including but not limited to any direct, indirect, consequential, special, punitive or incidental loss or damages). Weta Workshop’s liability to any entrant or Prize winner will be limited in any circumstances to a maximum for all claims up to the value of the Prize.
Privacy Act: Weta Workshop will collect and hold personal information such as your email address in order to notify you if you win and arrange the Prize details, in accordance with our Privacy Policy
