Easter is a wonderful time of year that we always love celebrating at Wētā Workshop, and it's no different this time around. We have heaps of cool and exciting things lined up to give our guests the opportunity to play games and win wonderful prizes.

The Wētā Workshop Experience - Wētā on the loose

Weta Workshop Easter Weta Challenge
Weta Workshop Easter Hunt

Our clever crew can be sneaky little hobbits sometimes, and for the Easter holidays, they have planted tiny Wētā toys around our tour space for you to try and find. All the people who correctly locate the five Wētā will go into a prize draw to win a voucher worth $500, to spend at both our Wellington and Auckland experience and retail spaces. All you have to do is grab yourself a ticket to our tour, the Wētā Workshop Experience, and when you visit one of our guides will give you an entry form on arrival. It will reveal all the details you need ahead of your quest. Good luck!

Guess what's in the egg?

Weta Workshop Wellington Easter Activations

Just like in the Hobbit, when Bilbo had to outsmart Smaug the Dragon to get to the treasure buried deep within the Lonely Mountain, you will need to be just as sneaky and cunning to master this challenge. For a bit of fun, we will hide a variety of fantastical prizes from the Wētā Cave inside a giant Easter egg. Guess what they are, and be in with a chance of winning them. We might even leave some hints and clues around the Cave to help you out with your challenge. The competition will be running from 15th April to 18th April 2022. The egg will be located at the Wētā Cave in Wellington. To enter fill out the entry document located next to the egg and hand it into a member of our staff.
