Wētā Workshop - The Fellowship of February
These are the rules for participation in Wētā Workshop’s The Fellowship of February contest (referred to below as the “Contest”). These Rules make a contract between you (the person signing up for the Contest), and us (Wētā Workshop Limited, incorporated in New Zealand, the promoter of the Contest).
When you sign up for the Contest, you must use your real name. You promise us that all information you provide when you sign up is complete and accurate.
Prizes
The prizes are as follows:
- Cable Car Ticket (Wellington) valued at approximately $26 NZD x 10 (Multiple prizes for separate winners)
- Mini Epic Collectible valued up to $78.36 NZD x 8 (Multiple prizes for separate winners)
- 1x Family Pass to the Wētā Workshop Experience in Wellington or Wētā Workshop Unleashed in Auckland
How to enter
To enter Facebook members will be asked to follow our Facebook Page, as well as commenting on one of four posts throughout February on our Facebook page with correct answers to all five questions displayed on the five Facebook tiles posted on one of four dates.
Completion of these actions will entitle them to go in the draw to win the prize pack mentioned above.
Facebook members are welcome to participate in all four trivia weeks but participating in all four trivia challenges will not change their chances of winning in a particular week.
Winners will be decided on a random basis, featuring those who have answered the questions correctly. If nobody answers all five questions correctly, we will move down to the group of people who answered four questions correctly.
The competition with be held during the month of February from 01/02/23 and to 28/02/23 (New Zealand time). Dates each trivia post will be posted will be: 03/02/23, 10/02/23, 17/02/23 and 24/02/23. Entries for each post will close at 11.59pm be open for 6 days after trivia is posted.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- You are following The Wētā Cave Facebook page
- Like the competition post
Employees and contractors of Wētā Workshop and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
Prize draw
The prize winners will be randomly drawn on the 09/02/23 for section of competition trivia posted on 3/02/23, the 16/02/23 for section of competition trivia posted on 10/02/23, the 23/02/23 for section of trivia posted on the 17/02/23 and 03/03/23 for section of trivia posted on 24/02/23 from all eligible entries.
We will use reasonable efforts to contact the winners by Facebook messenger. If by 31/03/23, a winner has not claimed their prize, the prize will be forfeited, and we may conduct a re-draw to award the prize to another eligible entrant.
Prize rules
The prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. We may substitute any of the prizes for alternative items of greater or equal value.
If the winner is under 18 years old, a parent or guardian must accompany him / her when accepting and/or using the prize.
Except as specified in these Rules, each winner is responsible for all costs that he or she might need to incur in order to accept or use any prize, or as a result of accepting or using any prize (including, for example, taxes, insurance, travel, accommodation, and/or other incidental expenses).
We will not be required to replace or repair a prize that is lost, stolen or damaged in transit after it has been dispatched to the delivery address provided by the winner.
Disqualification
We may disqualify you from participating in the Contest and/or collecting any prize if there are reasonable grounds to believe that you have violated any of these Rules or acted in a fraudulent or deceptive manner.
Publicity
By accepting the prize, each winner agrees that we may use his / her name and photo for publicity, promotional and media purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to them.
Privacy
We will collect and use the information that you provide us when you sign up for the Contest, for the purposes of operating the Contest, and managing our relationship with you in connection with the Contest. We may also use this information for internal market research, and providing you with information about our products and services, although you can opt-out of receiving marketing messages at any time. We may also provide your information to our service providers for these purposes. If you do not provide us with the information required by the Contest you may not be able to participate in the Contest.
We may also use web analytics tools (including ‘cookies’) to track your usage of any apps or websites through which you participate in the Contest (including your mouse click activity and your IP address).
You have a right to request access to, and correction of, the personal information we hold about you.
Exclusion of liability
As far as allowed by law, Wētā Workshop will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any kind as a result of or in connection with the prize draw, the prizes or these terms, and in particular, any loss, damage or injury that the winner (or his or her guest, if applicable) might suffer in receiving or using any prize.
You acknowledge that the Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook and that Facebook does not have any liability to you in relation to the Contest. You agree to fully release Facebook from any and all liability in relation to your participation in the Contest and use of any app or website through which you participate in the Contest.
Other terms
These terms will be governed by New Zealand law. Any dispute relating to the Contest, any prize or these terms will be a matter for the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
