Level 2 Transport Guidelines
Using Giant Eagles, public transport, taxi or our shuttle bus to get here?
We encourage you to wear a face mask on any of our tours which may include transport (Full Experience, Miniature Effects Tour & Combo Tour).
From Monday 31 August the wearing of facemasks/face coverings will be mandatory onboard all public transport services. However, our transport options are chartered and as such do not fall into the mandatory guidelines for face coverings on transport. Find out more.
Checklist for your visit:
- Please commit to good hand hygiene
- Wear a mask whilst travelling by public transport or Weta Workshop’s shuttle bus (under 12's are exempt). A scarf, adapted tee shirt or face covering counts!
- Maintain safe physical distancing
- Log your visit with the NZ Covid Tracer app for contact tracing purposes.

We do have limited supplies of precious face masks for sale in the Weta Cave – come and Baggins one before they Aragorn (get it?) Jokes aside- we do recommend bringing your own face mask or covering in the case that they are not available on the day.
