Be Unleashed. Your 90-minute guided experience includes:

Part 1: Horror

The animatronics and prosthetics department are working on the horror film Fauna. Visitors who dare, may enter the claustrophobic horror film set, where something lingers in the shadows..

Part 2: Fantasy

Enter our very own Artists’ Shed, a peaceful haven that shows the process of fantasy world-building through the imaginations of concept artists, who dream up a world designed for the epic movie Age of the Ever-Clan. Step through the curtain and enter their fantastical world….

Part 3: Sci-fi

It’s time to walk onto a film set of the science fiction adventure movie Origins. Projected light plays across the stage and a stunning light display with an epic intergalactic soundtrack begins. A gigantic robot and epic spaceship immerse you in an atmospheric sci-fi wonder.

A really great experience. I went after I had visited Wētā Workshop in Wellington a few weeks earlier, and the experiences were so different but both amazing. The guide was so energetic and fun. You get a tour through the making of a few movies that have not (yet) been produced. You could touch everything and move some of the animatronics as well. It was a mind blowing and insane thing to see, there was so much variety of cool stuff going on and I'm sure that if I went again, I would see a lot I didn't see before.

We had Kiki as our guide - she was great! Super high energy! Absolutely loved the tour, so interesting and great inspiration for my creativity! I definitely recommend this tour if you are looking for something creative to do. It was the highlight of our trip to Auckland!
